What is Oeko-Tex?
The OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 label is applicable to all types of garments and textiles. It guarantees that no harmful substances or chemicals have been used in its manufacture, neither for humans nor for the environment. That is why it is also known as Confidence in textiles.
It is a worldwide recognized label born in Germany in 1992. It is a symbol of quality for the end consumer.
What does the Standard 100 certificate analyze?
- If a garment bears the seal, it means that it is harmless to people’s health.
- Each and every part of the product has been tested for harmful substances. From the fabric to the buttons, zippers, threads, etc.
The tests are performed through authorized third parties. - The OEKO-TEX® chemical analysis criteria are very strict. Generally higher than national and international regulations. It vetoes both banned and candidate banned substances.
- The criteria catalog is updated at least annually.
